The sun is our factory's new fuel!
With the solar power plant (SPP) projects we have built on our own land, we generate millions of kWh of green energy annually, reducing our dependence on the grid and our carbon footprint. We are producing less carbon in every ton of cement, for a more sustainable future.

ATS Facility

By using waste tires and corn cobs as alternative fuels, we reduce fossil fuel consumption, natural resource use, and greenhouse gas emissions. We turn waste into a valuable energy source for sustainable production.

Using energy efficiently, means powering the future

We reduce our carbon footprint through energy efficiency, waste heat recovery, and alternative fuels. We create a more sustainable production model by converting resources such as biomass, waste tires, and textiles into energy. We convert the waste heat generated during production into electricity using ORC technology. Our facility is the world's largest ORC-based waste heat recovery power plant generating electricity from a single heat source. By converting the heat in kiln exhaust gases into electricity, we increase energy efficiency and reduce Scope 2 emissions.

Our electric trucks operate without interruption on the route from the Medcem Cement Factory to Medcem Port. Zero emissions on every trip, a more efficient export operation with every delivery.

With our fleet of 21 electric trucks, we aim to reduce fossil fuel consumption, lower our carbon footprint, and make our logistics processes more efficient and environmentally friendly. We continue to strengthen our low-carbon production vision with concrete steps in the field.
